StellarBlue and Meteogen have entered a strategic partnership to deliver renewable production forecasting directly inside the ATLAS ETRM platform. Meteogen's PV and wind forecasts are now available as a native data source in ATLAS, giving asset owners, aggregators, and traders a single environment for forecasting, bidding, and portfolio operations.
The two companies have already worked together through shared clients, where Meteogen forecasts were integrated into ATLAS on a project basis. This partnership formalises that cooperation and makes the capability available to ATLAS customers through a specific integration license billed through StellarBlue.
About Meteogen
Meteogen is a Greek company specializing in production forecasting for wind and photovoltaic renewable energy assets. By combining numerical weather prediction, from global sources and models it operates in-house, with machine learning trained on asset-level operational data, Meteogen delivers accurate forecasts to producers, aggregators, and market participants across European energy markets.
About StellarBlue
StellarBlue is a specialised provider of advanced Energy Trading and Risk Management (ETRM) systems and fundamental optimisation modelling. Born out of deep academic and industrial expertise, we design the core technical architecture and strategic bidding algorithms made available by the ATLAS ETRM platform, enabling energy companies to navigate complex wholesale market structures with precision.
The Forecast Service
How the Integration Works
The integration runs as a closed loop between the two platforms. ATLAS retrieves forecasts from Meteogen through scheduled API calls configured per park, so every asset is mapped individually and each forecast lands against the correct portfolio position. In the other direction, ATLAS pushes SCADA measurements back to Meteogen in real time. That feedback allows the models to recalibrate against live plant behaviour and sustain refresh rates of up to 24 updates per day.
Where You Find It in ATLAS
Data Room and Math Editor
Every Meteogen forecast is maintained as a time series per park, alongside market prices, volumes, forward curves, and asset measurements, with the latest run always current. Each series is directly addressable in the Math Editor, so teams can build derived signals, blend providers, apply availability or curtailment adjustments, and construct custom accuracy metrics without writing code.
Back Office
The asset view brings Meteogen forecasts together with competing forecast providers, raw SCADA, and certified metered data on a single screen. Analysts can assess forecast quality per asset over any period and see exactly where deviations originate.
Scheduling
Forecasts feed directly into bidding and balancing workflows. Selected series drive day-ahead and intraday offer construction and imbalance position management, moving through the same approval workflows, volume controls, and fat-finger protections as any other input.
Dispatching
Intraday forecast refreshes drive optimal dispatch across the portfolio in real time. As updated forecasts arrive, ATLAS combines them with live SCADA measurements to recalculate asset schedules and correct imbalance as it develops, surfacing the adjusted dispatch directly to operators.
